Autumnal conditions greeted competitors but the winner on count back was Lady Secretary Cheryl Woodhouse with 36 points from Graeme Syme. Cheryl started with a birdie and focused her steely concentration – indeed her play improved over the closing holes as the weather deteriorated. Paul Doran and Rick Smith were 3rd & 4th with 35s. Ladies
A blustery day saw a very good turnout for the Autumn Medal with 16 ladies competing and some great scores. Alison Chadwick was the winner with a net 67 followed by Sheena Harrington with a net 68. Sonia Inniss had the best front nine with a net 34.5 and Rianda Markram the best back nine with a net 35.5. Results…
RPGC Open
Toby Birtwistle of Putney Park carded an unbeatable 58 to win the RP Open. Five shots back with splendid 63s were John Fordham and Nigel Ward and a shot further back were first lady Alison Chadwick and Paul Doran. Results…
Putney Park scooped the nearest pins with the notable exception of Alison at 13. Longest drives were Mike Church (PP) men and Suzanne Clifton (ladies).

Both the Ladies and Men came up short in their friendly matches at Amida. Report…

Result: 3-0 & 2-1
The annual friendly match against Amida was held away in what turned out to be the last of the summer sunshine.
Despite close competition Amida were clear winners with a 3-0 win for the ladies and 2-1 win for the men.
We look forward to the rematch next year on home territory!

Jim Fogarty won the September Medal on a back 9 count back from Toby Hunt, both returning excellent 65s. Jim’s card included a 9 at 5th emphasising quality at the rest of the holes. Itsawat Mahdumwronkul and Francois Lemaigre took 3rd and 4th places with 67s. Mike Rowe joins the Eagle tree with a two at 11th after driving the green. Results…
