Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy contains an explanation of what happens to personal data that you choose to provide us with, or that we collect from you if you join the club.

Information We Collect

In running and operating this website we may collect and process certain data and information relating to the use of the site. No personal data is collected from the site. The data and information collected is detailed below:

Details of visits to our website and the pages and resources that are accessed, including, but not limited to, traffic data that may assist us in understanding how visitors use this website

Use of Your Information

When you choose to join the club it is necessary for us to be able to contact you with regard to bookings, handicap changes and club news and you will be asked to consent to its use in this respect. We use the data that we collect to communicate with you regarding club activities and results.

Your data will never be passed to third parties except where it is a requirement from Surrey or England Golf.

Storing Your Personal Data

Your details are stored within our club software on a secure server, but may also be held locally by officers of the club who need to make contact with you from time to time, particularly for matches, for example.

You have the right to object to your details being held outside of the secure database and can opt out, but you should be aware that you may not then receive all communications from the club.

If you leave the club midway through the year or know that you will not be re-joining, you should notify us and we will arrange for your details to be deleted from both the database and from officers’ contacts. If your contact is personal and you would like to remain in contact with such individuals, you will need to indicate this in your message.

There is an annual review of members before county fees are paid, and non-renewing members who have not made previous contact, will be deleted at this time.

Access to Information

The Data Protection Act 1998 gives all individuals the right to access personal information that is held about them. You can request a copy of any information that we hold about you. Please contact us if you wish to make such a request.
