Cognisant of the CONGU decision 2(c) to give sympathetic consideration for reasonable discontinuance of play, the organising Committee disregarded Toby Hunt’s card – though he was one of the 24 men’s NAPGC £2 entrants.

A promising card from Paul Doran (36 points) caught discerning eyes in the Handicap Secretary’s office and was promptly disqualified for signing for the wrong gross score on hole 17 (see attached scan) being an infraction of Rules 6-6d & 32-2 since the outcome affected the points awarded for the hole.
